Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has successfully conducted State Eligibility Test on 24th July 2016 for the recruitment of Assistant Professor (College Cadre) only in the University / Colleges belonging to the Himachal Pradesh State. A very large number of candidates applied and appeared for the examination across the various centers. All the candidates who had written the exam are eagerly waiting for the results. Now, the wait is finished. Himachal Pradesh achieved statehood on 25th January 1971. Prior to this date, the function of Public Service Commission in respect of the civil services and the posts in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh were being discharged by the Union Public Service Commission under Article 315 of the Constitution of India. It conducts the various examinations for the recruitment of eligible candidates in different departments.
